Getting to Monaco
Monaco is an independent state between France and Italy, the second smallest in the world after the Vatican. It enjoys excellent transport links, whatever your preferred mode of travel:
- By road with the A8 motorway and three main scenic roads known locally as the Grande Corniche, the Moyenne Corniche and the Corniche Inférieure.
- By rail, with international and regional trains stopping at the underground SNCF terminal close to Sainte-Dévote Chapel.
- By sea, with two ports, Port Hercule and the Port of Fontvieille.
- By air, with Nice-Côte d’Azur international airport.
If you prefer to travel to Monaco by your own means, we can recommend the best places to park on the edges of the city. Alternatively, we would advise arriving by train, as there can be some traffic disruption during Grand Prix weekend (restricted access, track closed from 6 or 7am).
